Fully custom orders

Important note: We cannot make swords that are copyrighted property of movies, swords from video games, cartoons, anime, etc. Also some fantasy-swords cannot possibly function properly as real weapons. Please, do not inquiry these designs with our company. We don't answer for similar requests in no wise.

Have you been unable to find something right for you on the pages of our catalogs? In order to keep prices low and to be competitive with lesser quality mass-production mass-marketed products, our excellent artisans have worked to establish a standard line. These are still completely handcrafted with loving attention and our bestsellers. They allow for minor customizations such as engravings on the pommel, guard and fuller/groove of the blade, as well offering a choice of handle/grip material.

But suppose there is a design that is altogether different. This will require the time and attention of our artisans to examine your full custom order and to provide you with feedback as to what is realistic, and what is historically accurate. Because period authenticity is the driving force behind the performance, artistry and practicality of design, this is the boundaries within which our artisans can work with custom requests. The best way to do this is to find an image from a book of an antique sword, or - to the best of your ability - a sketch of what you're looking for.

Pavel Neumann, the Director of ArmArt, would like to discuss your full custom order with you personally. Trained in history, experimental archeology and numismatics, Pavel recognizes the value of making swords using traditional methods and will help you in the design and development of a historical sword that is right for you.

Any customization is over and above the standard sword price and the level of customization will be priced accordingly. Custom orders require 100% down deposit before we can proceed with making the sword. This is non-refundable due to the nature of the order; ArmArt will repair or replace the sword if it arrives to you with any defect in materials or workmanship. (Note: Customizations and custom orders may require additional time to make the sword. Please take this into consideration when placing your order.)
